Alternatively you can have your meal delivered to you, ready to eat, whenever you want…with love from our house to yours!

My name is Lakis and my son is Alex. We are a father and son duo….and we are The Taste Buddies.
I was born into restaurant work, and grew up with my parents owning a very successful taverna on the island of Corfu. Alex has exactly the same story to tell, just a different island!
I have been a chef for 40 years now, owning and running my own successful business, “The Olive Tree Taverna” in Tsilivi on the island of Zakynthos, with my partner and our son. We “retired” from that in 2022 after 38 years and I now concentrate on private cooking.
Alex’s first preferred vocation was for behind the bar. He worked alongside me in the kitchen at The Olive Tree for a while before flying to England in 2012 to continue his career as a cocktail barman, flair bartender, mixologist and menu designer. The genes are hard to ignore though. He eventually gravitated to the kitchen, and has become the third generation of chefs in our family.
We are both passionate about traditional Greek food, but also love to introduce new flavours and recipes from our travels.
We’re looking forward to cooking for you and giving you a real taste of Greece while you’re here on our beautiful island.
